Downloaded word files will not open on Mac - Microsoft Community

i did latest update on mac , no downloaded word files open. can create new files , open files i've created in past no file i've downloaded or in past open... 

really weird , i'm getting frustrated. appreciated.

according description, can try following:

  1. create new file , select insert>object>from file>insert downloaded  file check if can open downloaded  file.
  2. right click downloaded file>open different version word if installed.
  3. please update latest version (14.7.7) if not latest version.

 

if downloaded file still can’t opened, please provide following via private message:

1.      the screenshot mac os , word version(file>account) .

2.      where did download file? please provide downloaded file via pm can troubleshot issue.

Outlook 2016 for Mac - Multiple Issues, Error 17884 - Microsoft Community

working mac users @ business. have few issues outlook 2016 not seem have clear cut solutions can find searching community. new emails - messages sporadically go straight outbox after being sent, not send until user exits re-opens outlook, work after multiple restarts. error code see corresponding 17884 sync status - thousands of items have yet synced. sync status show proper statistics items syncing, statistics change 'server busy' , have no idea if still syncing in background or hung up. using 'sync folder' or 'send & receive' stack more items sync status window no progress made. connection window in bottom right corner - upon start up, display 'not connected'. can leave outlook open prolonged period of time , never change, if change status of outlook online offline multiple times in tools window. so far have rebuilt profile scratch within outlook tried opening outlook on multiple wifi networks tried ope
