Word 2013 Track Changes customizations regarding author colors; or - Microsoft Community

looking word super user solve or guide regarding ongoing issue below:windows 7

issue #1:

attorney likes edits our firm in same color when send redline external email address not show different colors/user names our firm (e.g. if secretary makes edits, still coming attorney. outside users shouldn’t have see both , secretary’s names in reviewing pane).

 

with preference in mind, changed tracking in word set red edits @ time.

 

 

issue #2:

on june 9, attorney wanted multi-colored redline showed tracking between himself , opposing firm. because software set show tracking in red, wouldn’t recognize multi-authors , switch after-the-fact.

 

for reason on attorney’ computer 1 color own changes , color opposing counsel. once makes edits, file/share directly outlook , sends me save , edit. when opened attachment displaying in multi-colors per author, moment hit “save”, default solid red tracking.

 

our reset word settings default, tracking redline “by author” (i.e. multi-colored).

now when makes changes, make changes, other attorneys, or individuals it’s outside of firm makes own changes, shows in new color every author/user.

 

 

issue #3:

on july 14, attorney frustrated tracking isn’t showing in red (which when sent me). when opened on end, changes in purple , mine in red (opposing counsel’s in blue).

 

 

goal:

1. is there way set user/author have own color no matter computer it’s viewed on internally?

 

1. is there way make users/authors of 1 company/firm set show 1 color when email externally?

 

word not let select specific color specific user. if let word assign colors (the "by author" option in advanced track changes dialog box), randomly assigned. on other hand, if choose specific colors, same users.

the settings choose apply computer/your installation of word. when send document else, colors determined settings on recipient's computer.

in other words, can't control how other people view tracked changes.
