recently had re-install word: mac 2011 version 14.0.0

on imac osx version = sierra version 10.12.6

on every word .doc receive following error.   

this file read-only.  save copy, click ok,

and give document new name in

save dialog box. (word work file a_393059007.asd)

this error received on every word document, brand new documents i

have created. any ideas 

any time reinstall software need reapply updates in order restore current status. important due fact you're attempting run office 2011 on os x release didn't exist when version of office published.

in order have hope of remedying issue you'll need apply these 3 updates in order listed below... restart mac after installing each one:

  1. microsoft office mac 2011 service pack 1 (14.1.0)
  2. microsoft office mac 2011 service pack 2 (14.2.0)
  3. microsoft office mac 2011 14.7.7 update

Outlook 2016 for Mac - Multiple Issues, Error 17884 - Microsoft Community

working mac users @ business. have few issues outlook 2016 not seem have clear cut solutions can find searching community. new emails - messages sporadically go straight outbox after being sent, not send until user exits re-opens outlook, work after multiple restarts. error code see corresponding 17884 sync status - thousands of items have yet synced. sync status show proper statistics items syncing, statistics change 'server busy' , have no idea if still syncing in background or hung up. using 'sync folder' or 'send & receive' stack more items sync status window no progress made. connection window in bottom right corner - upon start up, display 'not connected'. can leave outlook open prolonged period of time , never change, if change status of outlook online offline multiple times in tools window. so far have rebuilt profile scratch within outlook tried opening outlook on multiple wifi networks tried ope
