Problems Receiving Mail with Outlook Office 2016 - Microsoft Community

i began having trouble receiving email on microsoft office 2016 (with os windows 10). have pop account set , have used program 2 years now. can work if go account setting , run "repair" 2-5 times (it varies) , run change, test account 2-5 times (again varies) , emails come in.  have called our service provider since outgoing mail not affected office issue, tend agree with.  went page , disabled virus scanner suggested , still no change. issue else has encountered? suggestions!

there several reasons why you’re unable receive emails in outlook application. issue may lying on server or internet connection. resolution depend on exact error message you’re getting. ensure issue addressed, we’d ask few questions:

  • are receiving error messages? if so, can provide screenshot of it? please remove personal information might included in screenshot. exact error message, open outlook , click send/receive folders.  
  • what domain of email account?
  • have tried sending , receiving emails through webmail via browser?

Outlook 2016 for Mac - Multiple Issues, Error 17884 - Microsoft Community

working mac users @ business. have few issues outlook 2016 not seem have clear cut solutions can find searching community. new emails - messages sporadically go straight outbox after being sent, not send until user exits re-opens outlook, work after multiple restarts. error code see corresponding 17884 sync status - thousands of items have yet synced. sync status show proper statistics items syncing, statistics change 'server busy' , have no idea if still syncing in background or hung up. using 'sync folder' or 'send & receive' stack more items sync status window no progress made. connection window in bottom right corner - upon start up, display 'not connected'. can leave outlook open prolonged period of time , never change, if change status of outlook online offline multiple times in tools window. so far have rebuilt profile scratch within outlook tried opening outlook on multiple wifi networks tried ope
