Rankings with Sharepoint Highlighted Content - Microsoft Community

im trying created highlighted content section filtered based on document ratings. has accomplished -- i've tried few methods far not having luck.

also know why document library columns not showing managed properties in list in highlighted content?

hi me_273,

do manage use “averagerating” filtered managed property? if so, when go sharepoint admin center>search>manage search schema, can find “averagerating” not queryable. that’s why not listed in list of highlighted content web part.

however, please follow steps below see if can edit existing property approach goal:

  • you can find existing property name in list of highlighted content web part below – date00, date01, decimal00……as type of “averagerating” “decimal”, edit “decimal00”.

  • go sharepoint admin center>search>manage search schema>search “decimal” list it>click “decimal00”

  • click “add mapping”>as “mapped crawled properties” of “averagerating” “ows_averagerating”, add same “ows_averagerating” “decimal00”

  • click ok save edited “decimal00”.
  • note: when change managed properties or add new ones, changes take effect after content has been re-crawled. in sharepoint online, crawling happens automatically based on defined crawl schedule. make sure changes crawled, can request re-indexing of list or library. go list or library settings>advanced settings>reindex document library or list.
  • go highlighted content web part , change settings.

thanks,

rena
