open word file, it is opening in protected mode and getting the error - Microsoft Community

hello team,

recently, having office 2016 , have updated security patches in week. have received 1 word file including banking tool in attachment. when try open word file, opening in protected mode , getting error office has blocked access following imbedded object keep , safe.

we cannot opened same word file on machine office updated {ms word 2016 mso (16.0.8528.2126) 64-bit)}. can open same file on machines office not updated {ms word 2016 mso (16.0.8326.2096) 64-bit}.

it indicated issue occurred due updated latest security patches. here, office support team don’t have resource office application usage issue.

either can downgrade office application or wait next update can fix issue.

 

please let me know if there have solution on issue.

the protected view message or notification can show if opening document or file internet. mean has viruses or other harmful content embedded on document. suggest follow steps provided on link for issue resolved.

working mac users @ business. have few issues outlook 2016 not seem have clear cut solutions can find searching community. new emails - messages sporadically go straight outbox after being sent, not send until user exits re-opens outlook, work after multiple restarts. error code see corresponding 17884 sync status - thousands of items have yet synced. sync status show proper statistics items syncing, statistics change 'server busy' , have no idea if still syncing in background or hung up. using 'sync folder' or 'send & receive' stack more items sync status window no progress made. connection window in bottom right corner - upon start up, display 'not connected'. can leave outlook open prolonged period of time , never change, if change status of outlook online offline multiple times in tools window. so far have rebuilt profile scratch within outlook tried opening outlook on multiple wifi networks tried ope
