two questions

1. there way re-set outlook 2016 , start over?

i have new computer outlook 2016 , windows 10.  seem have had faulty set-up when exported old ol 2010 files new computer.

i cannot ol 2016 use exported data.

2. then, there concise step-by-step instruction on how transfer correctly?
i.e.
1. transfer pst files old computer used outlook 2010 new computer uses ol 2016.

2 install these new files on ol 2016.

to answer other concern, please refer methods below on how transfer .pst files:

method 1: backup/export outlook 2010 pst data outlook .pst file

1. launch ms outlook 2010 application.
2. on topmost ribbon of ms outlook, go file tab. click options > advanced> export.
   
3. from import , export wizard, select export file. click next.
   
4. in next export file wizard, select outlook data file (.pst) and click next.
   
5. select email account name need export. export entire pst data, select checkbox include subfolders. click next. you can export single folder selecting particular folder. in case, have clear include subfolders check box. click next.
   note: cannot select more 1 folder export. export folder, have perform whole process again, i.e., single folder or whole mailbox can exported @ time. here, inbox folder selected export .pst file or have backup of inbox items.
   
6. in export outlook data file wizard, browse , select required location export file. can select required option. click finish continue.
   
7. after this, dialogue box popped asking password (if have set password pst file or when creating new .pst file). insert password , click ok. file saved selected location. select checkbox. password saved future use.
   

method 2: import , add pst file data outlook 2016

1. launch ms outlook 2016 application.
2. go file tab. click open & export > import/export.
   
3. from import , export wizard, select import program or file.
   
4. select file type outlook data file (.pst). click next.
   
5. click browse provide location of .pst file imported. click on required option , click next.
   
6. select particular folder or select include sub-folders. can apply filter if selecting single folder. click finish complete process.

using export/import wizard of ms outlook migrate pst data helpful not successful. drawbacks include time-consumption , less effectiveness. slight mistake in procedure may lead corruption of file. manual , free methods seem quite alluring, small mistake might risk data.
