UNread emails look as though they have been read - Microsoft Community


emails in inbox read (no bold/no blue dot) though unread.  how fix this??

for identify if issue account or browser, need confirm information. please answer following:

  • when did first encounter issue?
  • any changes took place on computer before issue occurred?

meanwhile, suggest sign out account, optimize browser, clear browser's cache , temporary internet files make sure not browser issue. once done, try access account using different web browser.

if still same, let check settings on account. here's how:

1. go outlook.com , log in account.

2. click on gear icon on upper right hand corner of web page.

3. select options.

4. click on mail, select mark read under automatic processing.

5. select don't automatically mark items read option.

5. click on save. 

kindly check if encounter same issue.

please reply required information , result further.
