Downloaded files blocked by Outlook 2016 in Excel & Office - Microsoft Community

since updating office 2016 pro few months ago, , in particular since last month, of excel & word attachments received via outlook blocked. problem files received via microsoft exchange server account (office 365) imap files received gmail imap. running windows 10.

i have manually "unblock" each downloaded file in file properties open them. message in properties field "security: file came computer , might blocked protect computer. there "unblock" check box .

the product current & i've tried online solutions in kb. files being blocked include xlsx , docx.  excel indicates file “corrupt,” except when unblocked.  word cannot open files either.  

i saw kb article indicating bug in office 2016 had been fixed. files updated according windows update problem persists.

btw, microsoft support useless – both consumer , pro support (each telling me talk other).

Outlook 2016 for Mac - Multiple Issues, Error 17884 - Microsoft Community

working mac users @ business. have few issues outlook 2016 not seem have clear cut solutions can find searching community. new emails - messages sporadically go straight outbox after being sent, not send until user exits re-opens outlook, work after multiple restarts. error code see corresponding 17884 sync status - thousands of items have yet synced. sync status show proper statistics items syncing, statistics change 'server busy' , have no idea if still syncing in background or hung up. using 'sync folder' or 'send & receive' stack more items sync status window no progress made. connection window in bottom right corner - upon start up, display 'not connected'. can leave outlook open prolonged period of time , never change, if change status of outlook online offline multiple times in tools window. so far have rebuilt profile scratch within outlook tried opening outlook on multiple wifi networks tried ope
