Missing command list in Word 365 Options - Microsoft Community


when open options dialog box , click customize ribbon, list on left (choose commands from) empty when try see "popular commands", or "commands not in ribbon" categories.

occasionally commands appear in list, example when use customize button assign keyboard shortcut. next time open dialog box list empty again.

issue has been fixed. if still encounter issue, you're welcome post new thread assistance. other's see information, thread locked.

after updating office, if launch ribbon or quick access toolbar customization dialogs, dialog might not show commands available. example, list of “popular commands” or “commands not in ribbon” may empty.

status: fixed

issue fixed in version 1706 (build 8229.2103) production customers. update office, open office 2016 app , choose file > account > update options > update.

previous workaround issue quick access toolbar (or if fix hasn't rolled out insider ring yet): type name of command in tell me box (keyboard shortcut alt+q), right-click command , select “add quick access toolbar”.
