i tried clean contacts on @live account have serious issues of duplicate accounts , multiple old ones here , there.

after deleted absolutely , re-entered of them manually (thanks microsoft, 5 hours wasted) 

it still produces duplicates, absolutely infuriating! 

now because if edit contacts in outlook 2013 wont sync seems, duplicate still exists , cannot see them in program.

in outlook.com notice there 2 contact lists, 1 people.outlook.com , people.live.com.

my first impression not positive, there 2 systems of contacts in , neither of them communicating each other. 

the issue in people.live.com duplicate accounts happens begin with.

however if remove contacts in people.live.com removed in outlook, if remove them in outlook duplicates still exist wont show in outlook 2013, windows 10 mobile or on android duplicates still there! 

you may ask issue then? duplicate accounts, keep appearing no matter do, if rid of entire people.live.com thing not sure why exists begin issues solved permanently.

it cannot continue this, have many contacts need keep sync on worked fine before microsoft upgraded hotmail outlook. cannot edit contacts anywhere except having physically enter people.live.com , because cannot edit contacts in either outlook 2013 nor w10 mobile or android, forced move either gmail or yahoo if turns out live account causing issue, if have upgrade outlook no, no deal microsoft.

fix mess, worked fine before, stuck 2 separate contact list issue , ruining day.

sometimes may have duplicates in contacts folder. duplicates created when import bunch of new contacts outlook, , have existing contacts same name or email address.

for provided best resolution possible, we'll needing more information:

  • can confirm using outlook 2013, outlook.com, outlook app android?
  • can send screenshot noticed there 2 contact lists, 1 people.outlook.com , people.live.com?

working mac users @ business. have few issues outlook 2016 not seem have clear cut solutions can find searching community. new emails - messages sporadically go straight outbox after being sent, not send until user exits re-opens outlook, work after multiple restarts. error code see corresponding 17884 sync status - thousands of items have yet synced. sync status show proper statistics items syncing, statistics change 'server busy' , have no idea if still syncing in background or hung up. using 'sync folder' or 'send & receive' stack more items sync status window no progress made. connection window in bottom right corner - upon start up, display 'not connected'. can leave outlook open prolonged period of time , never change, if change status of outlook online offline multiple times in tools window. so far have rebuilt profile scratch within outlook tried opening outlook on multiple wifi networks tried ope
