Outlook 2013/2016 and Hotmail.com synchronisation issues. - Microsoft Community

outlook 2016 (home business) on windows 7 pro (64 bit) os.

have succesfully set imap account , work 1 2 months. hotmail.com account starts has synchronised no new emails come in. current ost size approximately 1.5gb.

i have hotmail.co.uk address, configured in same way. current ost size in excess of 2.2gb. still working correctly , has never malfunctioned.

to date have carried out follows:

rebuilt hotmail.com imap account on pc 3x. ensured updates in , accounted for.

reset , repaired outlook 2016. re-added hotmail.com account , carried out scanpst actions. none of these have worked.

throughout of the 2 hotmail.co.uk address, coming in different ost files on same outlook have performed without issues.

ipad , iphones , other media contniue receive , display without issue.

please note issue noted in outlook 2013.

please advise on how resolve permanently.

its not clear whether saying have set hotmail account imap type, , problem account.

if using outlook 2016 (or 2013) when add hotmail, or other account, use auto setup page mail address & password required verify mail account.

(its if have set 2 step verification in browser, web settings, need else)

and hotmail accounts have been migrated exchange

within ms outlook, file>account settings>email tab........... hotmail/outlook.com mail account type shown?
