syncing basics - Microsoft Community


using 1 drive in office 365 , have downloaded app (windows 7-blue cloud icon in taskbar) syncing local documents folder.  right clicked on blue cloud icon, went accounts > select folders , verified documents folder selected.  tried adding file documents folder , didn't sync.  made change excel spreadsheet in documents folder , didn't sync 1 drive either.    syncing work in both directions-local , cloud 1 drive , how syncing process run?    address *** email address removed privacy ***

this supposed sync documents within onedrive path have chosen when first logged app.

please answer following:

  1. what version of onedrive have got (find out right clicking onto options > settings > about)?
  2. where did install onedrive from?
  3. what colour cloud, dark blue or light blue?
  4. where saving files (i.e. documents, or location)?
  5. have got sync problems showing (right click onto icon, view sync problems)?
  6. is onedrive personal or onedrive business?

please provide of answers questions above, me, , community, you.
