Word for Mac - pages disappearing from document - Microsoft Community


i working on 9 page word document running office 365 mac. noticed word started experiencing typing , scroll lag appeared (a long high cpu consumption) , when tried scroll passed 3rd page of document, other pages (pages 4 - 9) had disappeared. see in the word window grey background, pages gone.

the status bar still showed page count 9 did footer page number (page 3 of 9), pages gone. has happened once before document, has happened 3 times document costing me hours of lost work. once pages gone there no retrieving them , i'm forced use pages previous saved version. unfortunately once it's happened end file corrupted using 'save as' create new file doesn't seem prevent damage being applied previous file name. 

critical issue. know how can stop happening?

since can open file in windows on vmware machine, kindly suggest file uploading onedrive first. , then, should confirm more information see whether root cause may related mac.

to protect data, please copy content new file test.

1.we have released 15.40, may update first.

2.try insert image or perform other action see whether there regular pattern.

3.did make changes installing or updating software or add-ins?
