Auto Recovered Auto Save of Documents FOR LARGE FILES_NOVEL How in the - Microsoft Community

it's frustrating open computer , find there few "auto recovered" versions of 150k word count novel.  the "help" topics years old , quite frankly msword topics long , confusing it's crazy figure out.  the insult "auto recovered" feature wants me "review changes , decide version want keep..."  are kidding??  150k word document , might have change sentence or word here or there?  there's no way can "review different changes , decide."  

this "feature" has been thorn in our sides decade now.  (by dates on in request.)  

let's clear, there nothing worse being left unsure if work progressing or i'm losing fine detail copy edits confusing set up.  and there no way can go , review changes i've made because system allows me save or backup these old versions.  now, msword said ok, heres document last saved computer , here autosave version , differences highlighted.  then scroll through 150,000 words , @ least able review changes.  even pain @ least i'd sure.

based on article recover office files, auto recover prevents unexpectedly closed.

if have concern auto recover in word, suggest submit feedback in uservoice. understanding experience helps make our product , service better , others.
