Outlook 2016 won't sync with meetings created in any other - Microsoft Community

this may re-post see sorts of problems outlook calendars not syncing correctly, since sync problem has been reduced microsoft-only applications perhaps fix possible.  other solutions i've found online have been unhelpful.  i've used outlook years , prefer stay it, it's not useful me if won't sync other calendars - iphone.  i've spent hours @ microsoft support center , on phone tech support, no 1 has been able provide full fix or confirm if outlook not supported users need sync other calendars.  description:

my outlook 2016 calendar on windows 10 won't show (sync) new meetings created in other calendar.  includes built-in calendar in windows 10.  meetings created in outlook calendar show in of other calendars including windows 10, iphone, , icloud, not other way around.  new meeting created in windows 10 calendar never show in outlook calendar on same pc.  i'm running latest version of everything.  disabled firewall.  since outlook won't sync microsoft's own calendar, appears bug or bad default setting , not related microsoft's feud google.  can provide appreciated.  microsoft's official position users need sync other devices iphone should stop using outlook , switch third party app emclient, seems work seemlessly?

outlook doesn't sync windows 10 calendar application - unless using outlook.com, office 365 email, or exchange server. it's not bug - not designed sync. windows 10 calendar lightweight calendar app intended more people don't use outlook.

outlook sync iphone using icloud addin sync calendars in icloud.com (outlook's calendar copied icloud). can use itunes sync outlook , phone, sync outlook's calendars, not other calendars on phone. if use outlook.com/office 365 email/exchange, these accounts sync between outlook , phone via mail server, icloud/itunes not needed.

if it's gmail account, working on adding calendar sync via 'microsoft cloud'. available in windows calendar app , outlook mac, supposed coming outlook windows desktop don't have eta it. if need gmail calendar, there 3rd party sync utilities, gsyncit or companionlink sync outlook calendar & contacts gmail. em client option if don't need office integration or other features in outlook.
