Skype for Business Online has no connection with On-Premise Exchange - Microsoft Community


hello,

we have on-premise exchange 2013 server mailboxes. have office365 tenant skype business online enabled 3 persons. having problems connection exchange 2013 on-premise. have checked everything, including dns. within office365 dns records checked skype business , set. see picture:

to clarify, because in dutch, red crosses mean there no dns record found. correct, because these records exchange online , intune , don't use them yet. have our domain external dns provider. , there no internal dns zone our domain hs-group.eu.

if in config page of skype see following:

here can see there no connection exchange. mapi status ok, ews not initialized. ews url intern external not filled in. autodiscover working, , ews when checked standard procedures going xml page in browser. 

are problems related missing srv record autodiscover in our external dns? have a-record autodiscover in our dns. information, don't use ad connect connect our internal active directory office365 yet.

or there problem miss. skype business online works users. exchange integration missing.

to integrate exchange on-premise skype business online, directory synchronization required. need set azure ad connect in local environment sync local users exchange online.

 

since have create these users online, make sure these online users have same userprincipalname on-premise users. then, azure ad connect smtp match match users online , on-premise.
