Fall Update v1709 - One Drive Files on Demand - Microsoft Community

i have upgraded v1709 , trying new files on demand work.

firstly, think on t wrong version of 1 drive despite downloading v17.3.17073.1013. 1 drive still reporting v17.26.0.0.

if in  mypc > appdata > local > microsoft > onedrive can see folder 17.3.17073.1013 along with 17.3.17073.1013_1 and 17.3.17073.1013_2 showing multiple attempts upgrade.

however, if in mypc > onedrive shows files.  cannot determine version these linked

to. may correct location files under new version, not know.

however if click on cloud icon following details in settings, showing v17.26.0.0

in update instructions states when have downloaded new version of onedrive , done restart should sign-on  , enable files on demand, appears still connected old version. getting cloud icon  or tick against files instead of option save space not storing on local drive seem have option keep on device.

i wondering if 3 attempts in downloading update cause me problems.

i need make of photo files stored on onedrive said when right click on folder option - always keep on device , not save space option.

i think may have answered own question looking again @ files looks microsoft has changed wording on options available when right click on file

the instructions select free space make file online whereas on pc labelled clear space. i guess option there yesterday , missed looking free space wording. have admit find strange changed wording when windows 10 v1709 released though possibly newer versions of 1 drive have been available longer, nothing said suggest should update program.

now store app kept date apps on windows mobile.

anyway if having trouble finding files on demand link microsoft pages including latest version of 1 drive at: -

 https://support.office.com/en-gb/article/learn-about-onedrive-files-on-demand-0e6860d3-d9f3-4971-b321-7092438fb38e

it still shows option free space rather clear space and interested know when , why changed.
