Can not send email when connected to home wifi. Works perfectly when - Microsoft Community


this started recently. recieve email can not send using macbookpro. error message says default ports timed out. works when connected internet hotspot or other internet provider such public provider.  reset modem/router , worked tech support @ internet provider.    swapped out modem/router.  email works other devices such iphone , ipad.

it seems firewall of router blocked required port (tcp 25) exchange send emails. can check required ports in office 365 in article:  https://support.office.com/en-us/article/office-365-urls-and-ip-address-ranges-8548a211-3fe7-47cb-abb1-355ea5aa88a2?ui=en-us&rs=en-us&ad=us please change router’s configuration enable required port in office 365 or change different kind of router check.
