Outlook.com won't allow me to delete old contacts - Microsoft Community

hi,

old contacts appearing under 'people' option delete missing. i've received random message informing me 'people can see when free'. it's worrying have had 1 contact years , value privacy. i've read lots of threads have yet find solution.  can help? don't want move new provider i've had account decade.

hello,

this issue might caused browser being used access outlook or account itself. need try troubleshooting steps isolate issue. please verify if steps below ones tried on end:

1. sign out account clear cache, , cookies of browser.

2. sign in outlook.com using different web browser.

3. click app launcher , , select people. click your contacts, , select contacts. there, you’ll see contacts you’ve added.

4. select contacts want delete clicking check box beside each name.

5. click delete on top part.
