outlook contacts have disappeared.  this decades of contacts!  it happened right around time trying sync new apple 7 phone outlook contacts , calendar. neither worked , left no contacts on outlook.  i have poured through online helps , tried following steps.  nothing seems work

the issue might occur depend on how tried sync contacts outlook ios device. before proceed, may know following:

  • how did try sync contacts?
  • are referring outlook application or outlook.com contacts?
  • have tried access outlook contacts using device?
  • did error codes or messages before lost outlook contacts?


Outlook.com / People and contacts / Restore or recover contacts

Outlook 2016 for Mac - Multiple Issues, Error 17884 - Microsoft Community

working mac users @ business. have few issues outlook 2016 not seem have clear cut solutions can find searching community. new emails - messages sporadically go straight outbox after being sent, not send until user exits re-opens outlook, work after multiple restarts. error code see corresponding 17884 sync status - thousands of items have yet synced. sync status show proper statistics items syncing, statistics change 'server busy' , have no idea if still syncing in background or hung up. using 'sync folder' or 'send & receive' stack more items sync status window no progress made. connection window in bottom right corner - upon start up, display 'not connected'. can leave outlook open prolonged period of time , never change, if change status of outlook online offline multiple times in tools window. so far have rebuilt profile scratch within outlook tried opening outlook on multiple wifi networks tried ope...
