outlook 365 proplus can't logon to yahoo smtp - Microsoft Community

hello have yahoo account. incoming imap works fine tries connect smtp , says

"send test email message: server not support connection encryption type have specified. try changing encryption method. contact mail server administrator or internet service provider (isp) additional assistance."

specs are:

smtp.mail.yahoo.com, 587, ssl/tls, require logon using spa

went yahoo.com , logged off , on again know pw right.

anyone know problem might be?

we confirm if try follow steps found on link have provided in our previous post. make sure have closed outlook application before creating outlook profile through mail (control panel) settings. if issue still occurs, suggest contact email service provider ask them if there settings need change , if configuration settings trying enter correct.

hello, we trying use skype business. tried sign in, , got following error. we followed the  instructions here . used remote connectivity analyzer , failed. we added srv , cname records our dns server, , the  remote connectivity analyzer  passed 4. however, still cannot log skype business, , same error when try. when adding srv records, our dns server did not have place enter service or protocol, entered them in "name" field using following pattern: _service._protocol.domain.com what else wrong? **post transferred skype office skype business better assistance.** seems took little time dns server register new entries. it's working now. working mac users @ business. have few issues outlook 2016 not seem have clear cut solutions can find searching community. new emails - messages sporadically go straight outbox after being sent, not send until user exits re-opens outlook, work after multiple restarts. error code see corresponding 17884 sync status - thousands of items have yet synced. sync status show proper statistics items syncing, statistics change 'server busy' , have no idea if still syncing in background or hung up. using 'sync folder' or 'send & receive' stack more items sync status window no progress made. connection window in bottom right corner - upon start up, display 'not connected'. can leave outlook open prolonged period of time , never change, if change status of outlook online offline multiple times in tools window. so far have rebuilt profile scratch within outlook tried opening outlook on multiple wifi networks tried ope...
