Outlook 2016 IMAP Archiving. Stop Gmail Server Deleting - Microsoft Community

have outlook 2016. using gmail imap
have set auto archiving. archiving seems remove emails gmail server.
want auto archive stop .pst file getting big. (before removed emails had approx. 10,000 emails) want archive them on outlook keep them on gmail server if log gmail emails there , found use several computers , need revert old emails (even 2014).
appreciated.

an imap mail account uses *.ost data file, copy of on server, if use ms outlook archive option duplicating data, , archive process moves mail data file (server) pst

an imap mail account show same mail on devices mail account configured imap

hello, we trying use skype business. tried sign in, , got following error. we followed the  instructions here . used remote connectivity analyzer , failed. we added srv , cname records our dns server, , the  remote connectivity analyzer  passed 4. however, still cannot log skype business, , same error when try. when adding srv records, our dns server did not have place enter service or protocol, entered them in "name" field using following pattern: _service._protocol.domain.com what else wrong? **post transferred skype office skype business better assistance.** seems took little time dns server register new entries. it's working now. working mac users @ business. have few issues outlook 2016 not seem have clear cut solutions can find searching community. new emails - messages sporadically go straight outbox after being sent, not send until user exits re-opens outlook, work after multiple restarts. error code see corresponding 17884 sync status - thousands of items have yet synced. sync status show proper statistics items syncing, statistics change 'server busy' , have no idea if still syncing in background or hung up. using 'sync folder' or 'send & receive' stack more items sync status window no progress made. connection window in bottom right corner - upon start up, display 'not connected'. can leave outlook open prolonged period of time , never change, if change status of outlook online offline multiple times in tools window. so far have rebuilt profile scratch within outlook tried opening outlook on multiple wifi networks tried ope...
