New emails show as a number in folder pane but not visible at all in - Microsoft Community

am using outlook 2016.  new emails not appearing.  number next inbox heading in folder pane - showing number of unread emails (yes unread not total emails).  however, none show in reading pane , when go preview pane , click on unread see no emails. 

this means emails sitting somewhere not visible me.

i have tried searching on line solutions have found none.  can please.

these unread emails real.  have been sending test emails computer , email address  , watching number of unread emails on computer increase.  in fact, 1 managed through ok - weirder.

after messing around became apparent email account ( work one) had been deactivated earlier today (left organisation while ago) , inactive account causing block on active one.  removed inactive 1 , hey presto new emails have appeared.

hello, we trying use skype business. tried sign in, , got following error. we followed the  instructions here . used remote connectivity analyzer , failed. we added srv , cname records our dns server, , the  remote connectivity analyzer  passed 4. however, still cannot log skype business, , same error when try. when adding srv records, our dns server did not have place enter service or protocol, entered them in "name" field using following pattern: _service._protocol.domain.com what else wrong? **post transferred skype office skype business better assistance.** seems took little time dns server register new entries. it's working now. Outlook 2016 for Mac - Multiple Issues, Error 17884 - Microsoft Community

working mac users @ business. have few issues outlook 2016 not seem have clear cut solutions can find searching community. new emails - messages sporadically go straight outbox after being sent, not send until user exits re-opens outlook, work after multiple restarts. error code see corresponding 17884 sync status - thousands of items have yet synced. sync status show proper statistics items syncing, statistics change 'server busy' , have no idea if still syncing in background or hung up. using 'sync folder' or 'send & receive' stack more items sync status window no progress made. connection window in bottom right corner - upon start up, display 'not connected'. can leave outlook open prolonged period of time , never change, if change status of outlook online offline multiple times in tools window. so far have rebuilt profile scratch within outlook tried opening outlook on multiple wifi networks tried ope...
