How do i get my OneDrive Cloud Icon to show in the Notifications - Microsoft Community

how onedrive cloud icon show in notifications area? onedrive folder on desktop no longer syncs onedrive cloud folder/location. tried pick correct topic , subtopic , version post.      desktop settings, need 1 drive folder on desktop no longer syncs onedrive cloud. had windows system update around 11/12/2017 lost onedrive icon on desktop. today got windows creator update. still no onedrive icon in notifications area. have read online , articles , cannot proceed bc not have icon. need mobile settings, phone no longer syncing either. not web settings option below, think means onedrive opens in cloud. not sure if supposed select onedrive windows 10 or onedrive web(onedrive.live.com).

it sync issue mentioned causing issue in notification area. ask, encounter error codes/messages? if yes, can please provide screenshot of it? may refer link on how include screenshot in post.

we suggest check if onedrive icon is set appear in notification tray in settings. so, follow these steps:

  1. press windows + i to open settings and click on system.
  2. click on notifications and actions tab.
  3. click on “select icons appear on taskbar”
  4. scroll down and turn on microsoft onedrive.
  5. you should able see onedrive icon in notification area.

the icon not show right away; however, if open file , save in onedrive, pop on taskbar to sync.  after stays, after reboot.

as reference, may check article , follow troubleshooting steps regarding onedrive sync problems. make sure select operating system using device.

working mac users @ business. have few issues outlook 2016 not seem have clear cut solutions can find searching community. new emails - messages sporadically go straight outbox after being sent, not send until user exits re-opens outlook, work after multiple restarts. error code see corresponding 17884 sync status - thousands of items have yet synced. sync status show proper statistics items syncing, statistics change 'server busy' , have no idea if still syncing in background or hung up. using 'sync folder' or 'send & receive' stack more items sync status window no progress made. connection window in bottom right corner - upon start up, display 'not connected'. can leave outlook open prolonged period of time , never change, if change status of outlook online offline multiple times in tools window. so far have rebuilt profile scratch within outlook tried opening outlook on multiple wifi networks tried ope
