I have a book in three tomes and I want to make sure they all are - Microsoft Community

to make sure understand mean.

because writings have been going on in parallel , on long period of time. have not followed same rules.

now approaching final phase, important put them under same rules.

1) how make style ribbon same, mean, how display in ribbon, styles use sorted same way in 3 tomes?

or if easier,

how can transfer ribbon 1 of tomes to  2 other tomes?

2) although page sizes same, sections not have same margins.

how can change of them @ once in 1 tome?

i think is:

1. first, make copies of of documents in case not turn out way want it!
2. make copy of document want of others comply.
3. delete of text document.
4. save template.
5. open each of documents in turn , go developer tab of ribbon , click on document template item in templates section of ribbon , on templates tab of templates , add-ins dialog, click on attach... button , browse , select template saved in step 3.
6. check "automatically update document styles" box , click on ok dismiss dialog
7. re-open templates , add-ins dialog , uncheck "automatically update document styles" box
8. go home tab of ribbon , click on change styles dropdown right of styles gallery , click on style set , in dialog appears, click on "reset quick styles [the template saved in step 3]

if used styles same name in each documents same purposes, style should adopted in each of documents.

if want each of documents have same margins, need change them manually, or, if combining documents , each of documents contain single section, if copy except final paragraph mark in document , paste 1 of other documents, margins pasted text should conform of document pasted.
