SharePoint Users can get to the main site, but certain pages prompt - Microsoft Community

i have sharepoint o365 site uses ad for users on local domain.  i've invited external users sharepoint page , given them contribute-level permissions whole site.

my problem of these external users can main sharepoint site, , can of pages within site, cannot see other pages.  continually prompted "request access".  access requests , approve them, still don't have access pages.

i've tried can think of - including elevating permissions, rebuilding pages, having them use different browsers, having them try public network instead of work network , nothing helping.

any ideas appreciated.

according description, seems "certain pages" external users cannot access may don't inherit permission parent folder or document library.

you can check it via following:

1.go pages in classic experience in sharepoint online.

2.click ellipses(…) next page name>share>shared with>advanced>check ribbon, if see below:

1) can choose click delete unique permission>click ok

 

2)or can click grant permission , share page affected users proper permissions.

 

3.refresh browser. check if users can access pages.

if above doesn't help, please provide following information troubleshooting:

1.for affected users cannot access pages, check permission of these users clicking check permission>type in user's email address>click check now

please capture screenshot of result.

2.for "they continually prompted "request access"", please capture related screenshot.
