Missing "Insert video from file on my pc" in Word Professional - Microsoft Community

help!

i want build simple word documents embedded videos in them. in word home editions there's been easy insert, video, video file on pc pathway put embedded player , video file right on page wanted it.

but... in word 2016 pro plus, feature seems missing -- if working people don't need write training or sales materials, or educational materials?

help?  simple workarounds feature loaded in, or work around absence, appreciated.

thanks,

mike

i've never seen of home editions, wasn't aware of video file option. insert starting image online video feature does?

as workaround local file, can either drag-and-drop file file explorer or use insert > object > file dialog box's browse button locate it. either way, appears in document icon file name under it. double-clicking icon opens video in user's default player.

it odd home edition has feature pro edition lacks. please post suggestion at https://word.uservoice.com/.
