.oft files not opening if they contain an attachment - Microsoft Community

hi,

i having issue outlook templates .oft files. i  have microsoft office 365 proplus subscription, working on pc windows10 , using outlook 2016 desktop app (version 1710 build 8626.2121 click-to-run).

i have templates created include attachments , have been opening fine years, have stopped working.

if outlook running , open .oft file attachment, it opens blank email.

if outlook closed , open .oft file attachment, opens attachments.

any assistance appreciated.

so might related add-ins in outlook client. here steps check add-in causing problem:

1. click file menu, navigate to options > add-in, click go button next the manage: com-in add field.

2. clear checkbox of add-ins disable them.

3. reopen outlook client , select add-ins 1 one check.
