the focussed tab not visible after update, removed in recent update?
  how retrieve that 
                       
                    based on test, focused inbox won't disappear after updating. maybe settings changed during updating , cause issue.
         generally, can turn on/off focused inbox via owa or outlook client. so, please check see if following settings correct:
  1. check owa settings.
  please go outlook web access in ie > select 
  settings > display settings > focused inbox  > under when email received > check if select   don't sort messages. if so, please choose "sort messages focused , other".
  2. check outlook 2016 mac settings.
  on organize tab > check whether select focused inbox  or not. if not, please select it.
  
    if settings ok, please try update latest version of outlook 2016 mac , give screenshots issue further investigation.
