Outlook for Mac - Saving Emails - Microsoft Community

i have 2 questions outlook map.

1.  how save emails other in .pst file?  example, have several thousand gmails in outlook save on computer.  don't seem able drag , drop several thousand emails folder @ 1 time.  there way this?

2.  there way stop outlook deleting emails i've deleted gmail?  mean is, if delete emails through gmail on webpage, moved trash in outlook automatically.  there way in outlook mac have program save emails -- , not automatically delete them -- if delete them , rid of them on gmail itself?

you can export .olm, it's archiving format that's not convenient if ever want go emails.

you can drag , drop messages folder on desktop. create .elm copy of each messages.

personally, archiving, use third party app (in case eaglefiler, there many others), allows me export emails in app can read them, search them, etc.
