we have content types have mandatory columns defined multiple choice - necessary option our business processes.
however, when creating new document new button - necessary since have specific templates each content type - it's not possible fill in document properties multiple choice columns in word. columns configured pull down menu work fine.
show details visible, greyed out , unable fill in (mandatory) properties, rendering functionality useless.
what fix problem?

can provide following details?
1. screenshot of column settings (go library settings > columns > click on column name)
2. word 2016 version? can find file > account > under product information.
3. if create new required column this, able fill in value in word 2016 > "file" > "info" > "properties"?
4. can provide screenshot of "show details visible, greyed out , unable fill in (mandatory) properties"?
