microsoft outlook 2013 not open. error message cannot open ost file. prior outlook had frozen while viewing email, , clicked shutdown, , clicked cancel while attempting recovery. have telstra bigpond internet service , email account. followed ms online instructions recreate new ost file (suspecting corruption) by firstly delete original file (kept copy elsewhere) , have outlook recreate it. created new 0 content file, did not work, still got same error message when trying open outlook.  tried scanpst.exe repair original ost file.  found errors , repaired file, but still got same error message when tried open outlook. any help appreciated.

common reasons why cannot open .ost files in outlook corrupted system files or file damaged. since you've done using inbox repair tool (scanpst.exe), recommend following steps provided on article on how repair outlook data files.

working mac users @ business. have few issues outlook 2016 not seem have clear cut solutions can find searching community. new emails - messages sporadically go straight outbox after being sent, not send until user exits re-opens outlook, work after multiple restarts. error code see corresponding 17884 sync status - thousands of items have yet synced. sync status show proper statistics items syncing, statistics change 'server busy' , have no idea if still syncing in background or hung up. using 'sync folder' or 'send & receive' stack more items sync status window no progress made. connection window in bottom right corner - upon start up, display 'not connected'. can leave outlook open prolonged period of time , never change, if change status of outlook online offline multiple times in tools window. so far have rebuilt profile scratch within outlook tried opening outlook on multiple wifi networks tried ope...
