hi it's mexz,
when add reminder on task in outlook client, reminder shown in reminder window after time set reached.
try creating test task in outlook client , check if problem still persists.
1. right-click on flags after inbox emails or tasks in to-do list.
2. click follow up > add reminder and choose reminder section screenshot shows below.
3. click ok.
please configure email account on pc outlook works fine check if possible. also, configure email account outlook.com account on pc check reminder. identify if issue related client or specific account.
if problem still persist, need information better understand scenario:
1. detailed version of outlook client. looks version 1705 (build 8201.2102).
2. screenshot reminder information.
