Microsoft Office 2010 Not Opening - Microsoft Community

i'm operating windows 10 , microsoft office 2010 has stopped working.

upon attempting open word or excel, example, error message displays saying "the software cannot opened" , instructs me repair in control panel. have tried no avail.

i have seen issues suggest uninstalling , subsequently re-installing software, have tried. however, when uninstaller opens "click-to-run configuration failure" error , can progress no further.

another suggestion have seen create new account , try open in that, has not worked, encountering same errors above.

i'm quite stumped - system restore , defragmentation of laptop has not brought life. suggestions welcome.

just tried clean boot no avail. made no changes myself; windows did automatically install updates week or ago said, i've tried system restore without success. had avg anti-virus i've removed has made no difference.

the version of windows says have is  version 1703 (os build 15063.729).

have @ last been able carry out repair control panel (which didn't work beforehand) , softwares working again.

hello, we trying use skype business. tried sign in, , got following error. we followed the  instructions here . used remote connectivity analyzer , failed. we added srv , cname records our dns server, , the  remote connectivity analyzer  passed 4. however, still cannot log skype business, , same error when try. when adding srv records, our dns server did not have place enter service or protocol, entered them in "name" field using following pattern: _service._protocol.domain.com what else wrong? **post transferred skype office skype business better assistance.** seems took little time dns server register new entries. it's working now. working mac users @ business. have few issues outlook 2016 not seem have clear cut solutions can find searching community. new emails - messages sporadically go straight outbox after being sent, not send until user exits re-opens outlook, work after multiple restarts. error code see corresponding 17884 sync status - thousands of items have yet synced. sync status show proper statistics items syncing, statistics change 'server busy' , have no idea if still syncing in background or hung up. using 'sync folder' or 'send & receive' stack more items sync status window no progress made. connection window in bottom right corner - upon start up, display 'not connected'. can leave outlook open prolonged period of time , never change, if change status of outlook online offline multiple times in tools window. so far have rebuilt profile scratch within outlook tried opening outlook on multiple wifi networks tried ope...
