here's did:
1. changed font , removed columns mail tab using advanced view settings: compact
2. clicked on change view > apply current view other mail folders...
3. checked checkbox next inbox apply view inbox folder
4. checked apply view subfolders checkbox.
5. clicked ok
when went @ calendar appointments, conditional formatting rules gone

we don’t mean this. initial post telling set new calendar view, , steps similar create new mail view. , based our test, after changing view settings in mail tab, conditional formatting in calendar won’t delete, not related.
please make sure click apply view after changed settings in mail tab views:
