Outlook_Dictionary (spell check) - Microsoft Community

my outlook operated through foreign exchange default dictionary not english.  i have been changing english every day still afterwards the spell check switches foreign language plus switches off spell check function altogether.  another colleague in office identical set-up has no problem @ , english dictionary works perfectly.

i have tried many times switch language follows:

new email

review,

set proof language,

then change to english, fix 2 check boxes and apply default.

even works email highlighting mistakes whilst suggested correct replacements not offered (using mouse right click).

there different factors can contribute why default language attempting set in outlook regards spellcheck or dictionary not being maintained. 1 possible reason settings in account needs reconfigured in different way. resolve concern, kindly answer questions below:

• on device accessing emails, on mobile device, laptop or desktop computer?
• depending on device you're using, verify operating system being used , os version?
• we verify if you're accessing email account using outlook web portal or outlook desktop application?
• since mentioned attempted change default dictionary english, did uncheck option labeled "detect language automatically" on checkboxes shown when setting default language? (see image below reference)
