Outlook 2016 search option not working - Microsoft Community

i have rebuilt the index files

delete ost file added account again 

tried manual search items know have email 

still not working.  it seems work maybe day stops.  

i don't understand why not working.  seems last couple weeks outlook has been acting , not reliable used be. 

i use search feature lot , need working.

there might other reasons why issue happens beside corrupted file indexing. troubleshoot issue outlook 2016, recommend repairing office 2016. so, refer link.

Outlook 2016 for Mac - Multiple Issues, Error 17884 - Microsoft Community

working mac users @ business. have few issues outlook 2016 not seem have clear cut solutions can find searching community. new emails - messages sporadically go straight outbox after being sent, not send until user exits re-opens outlook, work after multiple restarts. error code see corresponding 17884 sync status - thousands of items have yet synced. sync status show proper statistics items syncing, statistics change 'server busy' , have no idea if still syncing in background or hung up. using 'sync folder' or 'send & receive' stack more items sync status window no progress made. connection window in bottom right corner - upon start up, display 'not connected'. can leave outlook open prolonged period of time , never change, if change status of outlook online offline multiple times in tools window. so far have rebuilt profile scratch within outlook tried opening outlook on multiple wifi networks tried ope...
