i've been able add pop account using same settings until recent update. different set of screens go thru , end "something went wrong , outlook couldn’t set account. please try again. if problem continues, contact email administrator." error message.
i tried using previous version before update , manual setup using same settings, error. smtp relay error 550 5.7.60
has changed prevent adding pop account without other change needs made behind scenes?

the pop setting should this:
server name: outlook.office365.com
port: 995
encryption method: tls
server name: smtp.office365.com
port: 587
encryption method: starttls
did check if pop enabled user in office 365? please kindly have check in exchange admin center > recipient > double click on mailbox > mailbox features > pop.
besides, if want use account via multiple devices, try adding account via imap or default exchange method, succeed? did try adding pop account in other pcs?
if imap:
server name: outlook.office365.com
port: 993
encryption method: tls
if default setting:
just type user email address , password.
