hi, rena. previous steps didn't solve issue, , in fact i've seen "i have same question" count increase quite bit in last day.
1. screenshot provided below.
2. happens opening files in both ways described: file>open>onedrive word, excel or powerpoint , opening files using file explorer (in case, onedrive sync folders; haven't tried regular folders). happens on both pcs have @ home.
3. doesn't happen every time, i'd it's 80%. seems more frequent when uses compatibility mode (for example, in word, both .doc , .docx files), though happens out of mode too.
4. 1707 (8326.2073).
5. happens in word, excel , powerpoint.
6. personal onedrive. have not business account.

i have solved issue following these steps:
- file>account>under user information, sign out existing account , exit office apps.
- control panel>user accounts>credential manager>windows credentials, remove office 365 credentials like: microsoftofficexxdata:xxxxxxxxx
- remove "onedrive cached" credential.
- restart pc.
- open word , sign in again office 365 account.
- open documents close see result.
note: steps 1, 2, 5 , 6 suggested user rena yu msft, , steps 3 , 4 suggested user a_bean.
