"Outlook not responding" message - Microsoft Community

i'm running win 10 pro office 365. outlook has been throwing error while , closing error message: "microsoft outlook has stopped working. problem caused program stop working correctly. windows close program , notify if solution available". option have click "close program". 

sometimes restart of outlook working, multiple restarts. after while work if started steam first. ask me upon restart if wanted use safe mode. whatever chose still take me email , didn't seem make difference. yesterday outlook refused start @ all. 

i unable start outlook in forced safe mode; same result. have reinstalled office; same result. latest updates installed. other office apps working fine. able access email via isp's webmail client , mailbox has plenty of room left.

please can advise?

for have better understanding concern, please provide following information:

  • when did start having problem?
  • are there changes made prior issue?
  • is issue specific app only?
  • have tried using different device , check if same issue persist?
  • which outlook version using?

meanwhile, suggest check link on how troubleshoot issues outlook not responding. let's see if helps.

hello, we trying use skype business. tried sign in, , got following error. we followed the  instructions here . used remote connectivity analyzer , failed. we added srv , cname records our dns server, , the  remote connectivity analyzer  passed 4. however, still cannot log skype business, , same error when try. when adding srv records, our dns server did not have place enter service or protocol, entered them in "name" field using following pattern: _service._protocol.domain.com what else wrong? **post transferred skype office skype business better assistance.** seems took little time dns server register new entries. it's working now. working mac users @ business. have few issues outlook 2016 not seem have clear cut solutions can find searching community. new emails - messages sporadically go straight outbox after being sent, not send until user exits re-opens outlook, work after multiple restarts. error code see corresponding 17884 sync status - thousands of items have yet synced. sync status show proper statistics items syncing, statistics change 'server busy' , have no idea if still syncing in background or hung up. using 'sync folder' or 'send & receive' stack more items sync status window no progress made. connection window in bottom right corner - upon start up, display 'not connected'. can leave outlook open prolonged period of time , never change, if change status of outlook online offline multiple times in tools window. so far have rebuilt profile scratch within outlook tried opening outlook on multiple wifi networks tried ope...
