Error opening up Word files - Microsoft Community

hello!  trying view documents class via word.  every time try open though, error message occurs.  message says either don't have permission view file (which do), computer doesn't have enough storage (which does), or need download office converter on microsoft.com.  downloaded converter still cannot view files , same error message pops up..

if these word documents, no converter should needed open them.

if save 1 of problem documents hard disk , open within word (via file | open), work?
