can't figure out how find hyperlinks - how used it. now??
- press alt + f9 display fields.
- ctrl + f open search box.
- search: ^d hyperlink.
- in main doc – find all
- check "highlight items found ..."
- click on find button.
- close dialog.
- ctrl + c copy highlighted.
open new document , paste.
there few changes in buttons , keystrokes word 2007 , earlier, same basic procedure still works.
first, ctrl+f opens navigation pane , puts cursor in search box. pane doesn't offer command select instances -- "highlight" them, not same thing won't let copy instances. instead, need advanced find dialog. there, fastest way press ctrl+h open replace dialog, , alt+d select find tab. (there down arrow right of search box in navigation pane , 1 on find button in home ribbon, menu includes advanced find, it's slower use mouse there.)
once you're in advanced find dialog, same search expression used before, click find in button , click main document in dropdown. select items in body of document, , ctrl+c copy them. (if have hyperlinks in headers or footers, text boxes, or other story ranges, you'll have select separate searches; isn't new requirement.)
