we have program use store documents. requires documents have file type of "microsoft word document." meaning when open file explore , @ doc, type column must "microsoft word document."
we have computer shows word docs (.docx files) having file type of "docx file." how of word documents on machine shown. on every other machine have in our environment show .docx files being file type "microsoft word document." need figure out how make machine recognize .docx files microsoft word documents.
when open these files open in word. have verified .docx files set opened word. when copy same file different computer displays file type correctly indicating isn't problem documents computer. ideas on how can correct this?
