Cannot log in to Outlook app on my Galaxy s7 - Microsoft Community

my goal have synched copies of outlook calendar, email, , contacts on pc , phone.  

i have samsung galaxy s7 has current updates.  i have installed outlook app cannot past password screen.  

1. i  installed outlook app.  
2. i open app , tap blue "get started" button.
3. i enter email prompted.
4. next screen prompts me enter password, , tap "sign in" button.
5. it loads moment, displays message "server configuration updated.  please log in again."  and re-displays enter password screen.
6. i re-enter password, tap "sign in" ,  get message "the account or password incorrect.  please try again."  and re-displays password screen.
7. i re-enter password again, , asked "let app access info?" , tap yes.  
8. it goes password screen , steps 4-8 repeat many times i'm willing try.

i have uninstalled , re-installed outlook app on phone twice.  

i have cleared cache , data outlook app on phone.

i have restarted phone.  

i have logged out of outlook.com account on outlook 2013 (current on updates) program on pc (windows 7 professional) , on web-based version (via google chrome).  

how can past password screen?

one of probable reason why asking password prompt app password on account turned on. can follow steps here to fix issue.
