Word 2016 Merge Table Cells - Microsoft Community

on school computer -when merge cells on table 2 rows text disappears, doesn't make difference if text in top or bottom cell.
i can merge columns fine text remains.
i can merge on student's computers without problem , on home computer.
this makes awful when want demonstrate tables class!
what cause this. hidden setting?
this behaviour caused recent office update. see: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/after-installing-kb-3213656-or-kb-4011039-merged-table-cells-don-t-work-correctly-in-word-or-outlook-8c7af9eb-9e48-4e1e-8c13-6340ede4acdc
on 3 october however, microsoft release update corrects problem should make sure office installation date.
if cannot reason, you can uninstall word 2016: kb3213656and kb4011039 updates. merged table cells should return normal after removing both kbs. more information known issue, can refer this article. follow steps below on how uninstall update on windows 10:
