hi,

i use office 2016. can open , edit origin lab plot in ppt in past. now, when try it, prompts :

"we're sorry, went wrong might make powerrpoint unstable. pleasae save presentations , restart powerpoint"

when use origin lab directly, keeps crashing , prompts "origin 2017 has stopped working". origin works fine couple months ago. so, think office updates (if there any) has cause such problem. wonder how resolve it.

there several reasons why you're getting error message in powerpoint 2016. due possible add-in issues, outdated antivirus, , security feature settings of file.

check first if office application updated. open application, go file > account > product information > update options > update now.

which antivirus using? if antivirus software not up-to-date, powerpoint may not function properly. download latest updates visiting antivirus software vendor’s website.

disable protected view options following these steps , verify whether issue re-occurs. click file > options > trust center > protected view > uncheck items > ok.

you can check if issue caused add-ins. press windows + r keys, type powerpnt /safe, click ok. if issue resolved, go file > options > add-ins > select com add-ins > go. click clear check boxes (disable add-ins) in list, , click ok. once done, restart powerpoint.
