Contact Groups not recognized in New Email - Microsoft Community

since switching office 365, have several users complaining built-in search function in "to:" field no longer recognize contact groups.

i tested on machine, , not working me either. 

i created test group called "test", , added 2 email addresses it.

i opened new email, typed "test" in "to:" field, , nothing came up.

even when tabbed on next field, still did not recognize group.

my users used being able type first few letters of contact group names , having suggested box pop correct group. way can have long group names, such "language department", , not have type entire thing out every time write email.

i switched 1 of users's address book options show contacts default, user can click "address book" or "to:" button new email , select groups wants, not complete fix. users want able start typing group name in "to:" field, , have pop automatically.

has feature been removed? still seems work individual email addresses in address book , show "recent" options.

any ideas?

i'd inform looking issue. being investigated, , update have possible resolution issue. now, can pick local contact group address book or roll earlier version via https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2770432/how-to-revert-to-an-earlier-version-of-office-2013-or-office-2016-clic
