Outlook 2016 Mailbox Cleanup dialogue box will not open - Microsoft Community

hi,

i have done ofiice 2016 install , want clean outlook 2016 (basically need resize .pst file @ 20mb limit.

go file >> tools >> mailbox cleanup 

problem dialogue box won't open no facility make changes.

anyone experienced problem , found way around it.

for info, when outlook.pst folder imported outlook 2016 came in on 20mb. issue?

try 1 one (if nothing works, use last step workaround)

1. turn off cache mode -

2. create new outlook profile rule out corruption in outlook profile. - http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook-help/...

3. right click on outlook icon , run administrator.

4. permanently delete deleted / spam mails, if not needed. , empty junk / clutter / spam folders (other new name clutter in 2016), if not needed.

5, there possibility add-in causing problem. rule out, start outlook in safe mode. hold ctrl key , click on outlook icon. don't leave ctrl key, till asks confirmation safe mode.
