The case of the magic shortcut - cannot delete OneDrive.lnk / - Microsoft Community

bit of strange issue here.  i deploying onedrive business environment.  i have environment significant number of win8 users.  in effort cut down on desk tickets confusion, attempting remove onedrive shortcut visible in interface when navigate to:

c:\programdata\microsoft\windows\start menu\programs

demonstrated below:

however, attempting automate process part of onedrive business deployment.

can delete using ui, however, file doesn't seem exist in command line:

under file properties, security tab , details tabs show 2 different file names, filemanager.lnk , onedrive.lnk respectively, demonstrated below:

so, gives microsoft?  how can delete file command line?

based on screenshot, found have read & execute , read permissions below:

i suggest try giving full control permission check if issue still exists.

 

if issue still exists, please provide following information?

1. check if issue occur occurs on 1 short-cut.

2. when did issue occur?

3. did issue occur after delete short-cut , recreate it?
